Boys Sports Camp.Click here for more on the Second Annual MVP ALL STAR DAY Under the direction of Irv Bader and Judah Rhine, the inaugural season of MVP Boys Basketball Camp at Seneca Lake far exceeded expectations. From the time the busses rolled in until the time they rolled out, the competition, the camaraderie and sportsmanship across teams and divisions, and the overall good vibes from all, was positive. Throughout the league games, clinics, thrilling skills competitions, meals, davening, late night bbq's, pool, hot tub, closing ceremonies, Sprinkles, etc. - it was quite memorable. In addition, the appearance of NBA legend and Hall of Famer, Nate "TINY" Archibald, one of the top 50 players of all time, and the opportunity to work with him on the court, was one of the many highlights from the week. Enjoy the collection of memories from our inaugural season at MVP basketball camp 2009 from the pics on this website! We are looking to build upon our success from this year, for next year. Our goal was that each player would work on their skills through fundamentals and team play, to improve their game, and to ultimately reach their individual and team potential. In this regard, we succeeded. Please note that we still have available a limited number of MVP sweatshirts ($24.00) and MVP sweat pants ($18.00) in assorted sizes. If interested, please contact me asap. Once again, we want to thank all the coaches/counselors, staff, and all those who contributed to making MVP the success that it was. Plans are already underway for next season to make MVP Basketball Camp 2010 better than ever. MVP Girls Sports Camp-run by Irv Bader and Stephanie Amos was really an amazing experience. From the moment the girls stepped on the basketball court-until the time they left, they were busy and on their toes.
Players could always find a coach on a court happy to work on individual skills, and it was clear each player was able to work and strengthen their fundamental skills in an individual and team setting, and work toward achieving their basketball potential. While the varsity favorites won in their division 3rd seed, JV was able to beat the top ranked #1 seed who had only experienced one loss during the regular season. Each player was able to show case their talents both on and off the courts, and display their love of basketball. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
